Alpha CDR Boilers

The Alpha CDR heating-only boilers are for use on open-vented or sealed systems (using the Alpha sealed system kit). With these high efficiency boilers, there's a plentiful supply of hot water when fitted with a storage cylinder.

With a power output ranging from 13kW to 24kW, they provide the flexible answer for the majority of traditional installation scenarios.

Compact and light, at just 600 x 390 x 305mm in size, the CDR range makes for exceptionally flexible siting. The CD18R, for example, weighs just 27kg, a simple one-man lift.

Efficient and reliable, the CD13R, CD18R and CD24R have a SEDBUK Band 'A' efficiency rating with supreme Alpha reliability. The CDR can operate on an open-vented system, which makes them ideal as replacements for traditional cast iron boilers.

Alpha CDX Boilers

Alpha CDX Boilers

Our competitively priced 'entry level' CDX combination boilers mean that, no matter how tight the budget, you and your customers can still enjoy the benefits Alpha condensing boiler technology can deliver.

CDX boilers are built to the same high standards found in all our boilers, using stainless steel and top quality components. This enables them to attain the same exceptional levels of performance and reliability achieved in products across the Alpha range. They are SEDBUK Band 'A' rated, and are recommended by the Energy Saving Trust.

Based on our flagship CDC models, they share the same compact dimensions and modern case design as the rest of the Next Generation range and, likewise, are compatible with the innovative PremierPack wall-mounting jig, which brings a host of benefits to the installer and enhances the boiler's guarantee.

Internally, they have a clear, straightforward layout with ease of access being a prime feature. As well as installation and connection, this makes future maintenance and servicing simple.

There are two CDX models to choose from, with fully-modulating central heating outputs of either 25 or 28kW to cover most applications where a combi is the boiler of choice.

Alpha CDC Boilers

Alpha CDC Boilers

Packed with advanced features, CDC boilers are the 'flagship' combis in our Next Generation range. They are available in fully-modulating central heating outputs of 25, 28 and 35kW, all of which are SEDBUK Band 'A' rated.

To maximise performance, they have a built-in Seasonality Valve, which automatically adjusts the DHW flow based on the temperature of the incoming main. This allows more flow in spring, summer and autumn.

Also standard is the Alpha Hydroblock, which uses less pipework connections to save space and make access for servicing far easier.

CDC models share the same sleek exterior looks and dimensions as the other boilers in our Next Generation range. With a re-designed case featuring stylish curved edges, a high gloss finish and measurements of just 720 x 440 x 300mm, they are ideal for fitting alongside standard kitchen cupboards.

The control panel for the CDC boiler is located under a neat hinged flap and, like all boilers in the Next Generation range, is straightforward to use and extremely functional. There are temperature controls for heating and hot water, a pressure gauge and easy-to-understand LED fault indicators.

As with all Next Generation boilers, you'll find the CDC models are designed with ease of service and maintenance in mind. Fascia panels are simple to remove, with all major components being accessible from the front. Likewise, drop-down control panels enable easy access to the PCB, so that plug-in controls can be fitted by simply removing the cover panel and using the spade connectors.

Alpha Solarsmart

Alpha Solarsmart

When it comes to solar thermal water heating, SolarSmart is truly unique. Unlike many systems it works in conjunction with a combination boiler and has been simplified to make specification and installation as straightforward as possible, whilst maximising energy savings.

The solar panel collects energy from the sun – solar radiation, and transfers it to water that is pumped in to the drainback unit. This water heats a copper coil (or heat exchanger) through which water is fed into the cylinder.

The volume of stored water, if hot enough, can be fed direct to the tap (i.e. 60°C plus). When the stored water is preheated but not up to 60°C the solar valve diverts it via the combination boiler where it is heated up to the required temperature, but at a reduced gas rate.

The system doesn't require any complicated controls or accessories, so installation is straightforward and the end user can get maximum benefit from the system, without having to adjust any settings or programme a timer.
